The items you can obtain in Kitty's Woods depends on the number of steps you have taken in the past 3 days.
The forest journey has three branches. At each branch, you can choose either the top path or the bottom path. One path will have an item or encounter, while the other path will bring you to the next branch.
10,000 Steps or Fewer
Branch 1: 1 star item or continue
Branch 2: 2 star item or continue
Branch 3: Both paths lead to Rorry's treehouse. Rorry is absent, and you will just sit on a swing next to the treehouse.
10,001 to 39,999 Steps
Branch 1: 1 star item or continue
Branch 2: 2 star item or continue
Branch 3: 3 star item
More than 40,000 Steps
Branch 1: 1 star item or continue
Branch 2: 2 star item or continue
Branch 3: 3 star item or Rorry tree house visit
When Your Chest is Full
Branch 1: Mimmy hangout or continue
Branch 2: Mimmy hangout or continue
Branch 3: Chest of 50 Kitts or chest of more Kitts (75% chance of 100 Kitts, 25% chance of 200 Kitts)
NOTE: The guide states that keeping your chest intentionally full can be a good strategy for obtaining more Kitts.
